Bespoke Web Design for Yorkshire Pub & Hotel, The Red Lion.

The Red Lion is a family run, 16th Century pub, restaurant and hotel in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales at Burnsall and is a venue for dining, drinking, staying, events, weddings & outdoor activities. The business combines their historic setting with modern amenities and outlook and required a bespoke website to match its forward thinking ethos.

Our role…

Flair Digital were briefed to design a modern, visually attractive and search engine friendly website with the overarching aims of highlighting the accommodation and venue facilities on offer, generating increased enquiries and increased bookings.

The Red Lion website features a modern, clean visual design that is line with the business branding. Primarily the colour scheme is based around soft reds and creams which provide a friendly, welcoming feel and when set alongside greys and white they enhance the modern, clean feel of the site.

Calls to action are designed to stand out alongside each service area and offer clear choices to the user on providing further detail or submitting an enquiry.

The website is developed in WordPress and the Content Management System enables our client to make regular updates to the website including menus and special offers.

Mobile friendly web design

For The Red Lion it was important that the new website was designed to be mobile friendly. Well over 50% of traffic to the website comes from users on mobile devices and the design and layout is formatted to make information as easily accessible as possible for those users. Using rersponsive web design techniques, the website displays correctly on a range of devices from a mobile phone to tablets, laptops and dektop computers.
