Bespoke Web Design for Harrogate & District Naturalists’ Society.

Harrogate & District Naturalists’ Society has been inspiring people to engage with the wonderful wildlife found in their area of Yorkshire since 1947. Organisation members observe and record the natural world in towns, gardens and the countryside surrounding Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Our role…

Flair Digital were tasked with designing a visually attractive and accessible website with the overarching aims of highlighting the activities undertaken by the society for its current membership base and to promote increased awareness of the society in the wider community with a view to increasing engagement and membership.

The website features a very modern, clean and visual design that is image led and in line with the society’s brand identity. The slate blue and greens convey a welcoming and professional feel that combined with plenty of whitespace helps to maintain the clean and crisp feel throughout. Brighter shades of green and pink are used to add depth to the design and help content to stand out. Content is laid out in clear blocks and Calls to Action are designed to stand out below each section.

The website is developed in WordPress and the Content Management System will enable the society to regularly update information on the website as well as feature user submitted content such as wildlife sightings and photos.
