Yorkshire Women’s Life Magazine covers regional, national, international, local news along with features on Business, Finance, Lifestyle, Shopping, Health and Food & Drink. The Leeds based title bills itsself as the Yorkshire magazine with a global outlook.

The Web Design Project…

The client brief for the website was to provide a visually attractive website that featured a modern, clean and welcoming design. It was important that our design highlights the diversity of the Yorkshire Women’s Life readership.

The website features a modern and colourful visual design that is in line with the magazine’s brand identity. Careful consideration was give to image selection to ensure each photograph portrayed the readers diversity whilst also enhancing the design. Background shapes are used to help add visual interest and help important content areas to stand out.

Content is laid out in clear blocks and Calls to Action are designed to stand out and offer clear choices to the user for subscription options.

The website is developed in WordPress and the Content Management System will enable our client to regularly update the website with each new magazine issue.

Mobile Friendly Website Design

The old site was not responsive so it was essential that the new Yorkshire Women’s Life website was designed to be mobile friendly. Our mobile-first approach to this project ensured that each element in the design will flow and adjust to match the screen size. On smaller screens and devices, the navigation is accessible by touch and remains visible whilst a user scrolls down the page.
